Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization, ensuring financial stability and growth while providing leadership and direction to the finance department. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to forecast and analyze financial trends to support business development initiatives.

Financial Management

•Close out books and prepare quarterly financial statements for bank and internal review.

•Provide ongoing strategic financial recommendations.

•Analyze profitability and financial performance of divisions and job-specific profitability.

Includes continuous updates, analysis, and capitalization of divisional direct labor and overhead costs.

Prepare the annual budget and sales projections; track performance throughout the year.

Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance in coordination with the external accounting firm, including but not limited to:

•Submitting monthly sales and use tax filings.

Paying quarterly tax estimates.

Preparing for timely filing of federal and state business returns and owner individual tax returns.

•Managing collection of vendor W-9s for annual 1099 preparation.

Prepare documentation for annual insurance renewals and audits.

Includes managing collection of subcontractor liability insurance certificates.

Manage and assist with customer draws from banks and homeowners on behalf of the company owner.

Oversee daily cash management, including monitoring checking account balances and internal transfers.

Assist the owner with banking relationships and loan communications.

Bookkeeping

Supervise the Accounting Assistant and assist with the following functions:

Accounts Receivable / Invoicing

Project draws, time and material clients, change order progress billings.

Design services, distribution services, trim project revenue.

Boat rentals.

Store sales.

Employee hours billing.

Accounts Payable / Bill Payment

Oversee the Accounting Assistant’s work, including:

Entering bills.

Managing check runs.

Processing vendor payments via credit cards.

Reconciling credit card statements.

Cash Management

Perform bank reconciliations.

Financial Closings

Complete all necessary procedures to close out books on a quarterly basis.

Additional Duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
