Position Overview

The Chief Revenue Officer will lead BibliU’s US based Sales and UK and US based Marketing. This role is based in the US. We are looking for an experienced sales leader with some marketing leadership experience with 10+ years of experience scaling enterprise SaaS companies from single digit millions to $50m+. A deep understanding of the US higher education market is a plus. Knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus.

From the sales side, the ideal candidate will have proven experience rigorously applying a sales methodology such as the Challenger Method or Miller Heiman Strategic Selling. BibliU’s Universal Learning solution is an enterprise sale to the C-suite in the range of $250K - $1M gross profit.

You will need to have a direct executive relationship with prospective customers and coach the members of the sales team to close business efficiently. Experience leading a Sales Development team and a metrics focus are important attributes. The individual in this role plays a vital part in hitting the revenue target set by the CEO and board. The role reports into the CEO. Approximately 40% travel is expected.

From the Marketing perspective, the ideal candidate will have experience setting marketing strategy for the US market. An experienced VP of demand generation will report to the CRO, providing the hands on experience for pipeline generation.

What you will be doing:

Set Sales and Marketing strategy for the company
Help to set targets and make sure the sales team hits target
Developing strategy and managing relationships with technological partners
Board reports with the CEO
Prospective investor meetings with the CEO
Non-publisher whitelabel & channel reseller partnerships
Marketing team including pipeline generation and growth
Establish budgets and bonus plans in conjunction with finance
Expand brand awareness and presence in US market

Measures of Success

Company hits annual revenue targets agreed with board and CEO
Hire strong selling organization with solid onboarding to ensure rapid productivity
Implement sales methodology such as Strategic Selling
Manage individual sales reps to provide support for meeting their personal targets
Expanded market share in US For-profit sector
Expand market share in key influential bookstores
Ensure 90-100% renewal rate

What we are looking for:

Has 10+ experience scaling enterprise SaaS companies
Hitting multi-million sales targets with year-over-year growth
Accurate pipeline management
Excellent communication skills
Deep understanding of technology
Success leading enterprise sales teams
Ability to accommodate travel (40% or more)
Led and grown teams of 5 - 40

Salary range: $360-480,000 OTE
