POSITION SUMMARY:

Borsheim Holding Company (BHC), a leader in crane services and heavy equipment solutions with multiple operating subsidiaries, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial functions across the organization. The CFO will oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and risk management, while supporting operational growth and ensuring fiscal responsibility across all business units.

The ideal candidate will bring deep financial expertise, preferably in the construction, equipment rental, or transportation industries, along with the ability to manage the complexities of a multi-entity organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth goals.
Advise executive leadership on financial planning, investment priorities, and strategic initiatives.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business development opportunities and capital expenditures.
Multi-Entity Financial Oversight:
Consolidate and analyze financial performance across multiple subsidiaries.
Maintain intercompany accounting processes and ensure consistency in reporting standards.
Monitor and manage cash flow, intercompany transactions, and shared services.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting across all divisions.
Monitor variances and trends to ensure financial objectives are met.
Accounting & Compliance:
Oversee internal and external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely filing of taxes, audits, and all statutory obligations.
Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
Risk Management:
Assess and manage corporate risk, including insurance, bonding, and legal exposure.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial, labor, and safety regulations, including DOT regulations applicable to transportation operations.
Team Development & Leadership:
Manage and mentor finance, accounting, and administrative staff.
Build scalable systems and processes to support company growth and operational complexity.
Participate in BHC’s Leadership Committee and provide guidance to other members and departments.
Other duties as assigned by the CEO/President.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (required).
MBA or Master’s in Finance or a related field (strongly preferred).
CPA, CMA, or equivalent financial certification (required).
10-15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within construction, heavy equipment, transportation, or logistics industries.
5+ years in a CFO or senior finance role.
Experience overseeing finances of multi-entity or multi-division organizations.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax law, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, build financial models, and drive strategic decision-making.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Experience working with unionized labor environments is preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
