The Boyertown Area School District is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all aspects of the district’s financial operations. This role is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, accounting, purchasing, investments, payroll and benefits, risk management, and audits. The CFO plays a pivotal role in aligning financial resources with the district’s goals, supporting fiscal transparency, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. The district serves more than 6,200 students and operates with a 2025–2026 budget of $150,000,000.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the financial stability, transparency, and strategic fiscal planning necessary to support the
educational mission of the district. This position is vital to maintaining sound financial
operations, maximizing resources, and fostering public trust through
responsible stewardship.

Key Qualifications:

Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
(required) Master’s degree and/or CPA certification (preferred)

Experience

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in public finance, accounting, or school
administration. Demonstrated success in managing large budgets and leading financial operations in a complex organization

Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. High ethical standards and a demonstrated commitment to transparency, collaboration, and public service. Proven
ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse
audiences. Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Skyward, Infinite Campus, or similar systems)
