Commercial Operations Manager

Remote – US Based (Chicago preferred)

Reports to VP – Commercial Excellence and Strategy

Job summary/ Responsibilities:

The Commercial Operations Manager is a key member of the commercial organization, who will help develop a centralized commercial operations team responsible for the measurement, analysis, and strategic frameworks for sales methods across the organization. This role will align with the sales organization to ensure near-term growth and velocity, while also thinking strategically and holistically about the longer-term growth objectives of the organization.

This role will inherit 2-3 direct reports and have responsibility to build a global commercial operations team between the US and Europe. In the short term, task-oriented execution and codification of process will define success for the organization. In the long term, strong personal management skills will ensure the team scales and grows effectively.

Work closely across the Commercial Excellence organization to streamline, optimize, and measure commercial sales activities and pipeline acquisition.
Lead the pre-sales support team in developing a consistent and coherent quote, proposal, and contracting methodology for all new customers across the globe.
Develop systems to measure, monitor, and understand all measures of sales efficiency including territory performance, lead/opportunity management, comp/incentive structures, regional alignment, strategic planning, and sales planning.
Develop operational dashboards to report key performance indicators and other metrics of commercial success.
Work closely with the marketing team to identify best-in-class sales technology and tools to enable efficient outreach and engagement with our customers.
Work closely across the organization to develop initiatives and programs to improve sales and marketing performance.
Analyze and decompose the sales process to identify areas for improvement and codify those recommendations into sales playbooks and processes.
Create a holistic view of the Caresyntax customer base, using not only traditional sales metrics like revenue, order volume, and contracts, but also engagement metrics such as activity tracking, traffic engagement, marketing engagement, customer service interactions, etc.
Create a central source of truth for pipeline forecasting and strategic revenue planning across the organization.

Requirements for this job application:

Minimum 4 years of experience in sales operations, operations management, commercial/revenue operations, or management consulting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to create narratives based on the data
The ability to distill high level strategy into practical and precise activities
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex initiatives to the organization
Demonstrated success mentoring or managing a small group of individual contributors
Excellent utility of basic office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
Flexibility to change direction and focus amidst rapidly changing organizational needs
Healthcare experience is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred
Management, IT, or Business consulting background is a plus
