Summary

The West Coast Sales Manager, CES Corporate Solutions Group, develops the west coast region – sales and operations. The sales manager will be responsible, for sales, process implementation, growth, promoting the Corporate Solutions Group as well as work with team to build new customer relationships and maintains contact with established customers for the purpose of marketing, promoting, and selling City Electric Supply products. Team is responsible for growth and regularly interacts with new prospects and existing customers at the customer’s site of business or other off-site locations. Works with branches and fulfillment centers to ensure customers from across the network receive a consistently high level of service.

Essential Job Functions

Manage the west coast sales and operations teams
Hire west coast regions sales executives to support regional west coast territories
Work with other regional sales managers to implement and execute efficiencies and growth plans
Maximize sales and profit from new and existing corporate customer base
Develop and execute corporate sales plan within west coast region
Develop and maintain direct relationships with corporate customers, specifically those companies that have a multiple-location business structure
Develop relationships with affiliated partners to include, but not limited to architects, designers, engineers, and lighting and non-lighting manufacturers
Local, regional, and national travel required
Car allowance & incentive plans

Education/Experience

National corporate sales experience preferred.
Lighting sales experience is preferred, but will also consider candidates with a strong corporate network and a history of successfully closing corporate/national sales opportunities
Lighting controls and switchgear experience are preferred.

Competencies

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable managing daily business via mobile phone apps including Office 365 software via company-issued tablet/laptop
Use of CRM and/or Project Management software to manage customer opportunities
Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles within a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Ambitious and self-driven
Strong work ethic in a remote work environment
Desire to grow within our organization

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has management responsibilities for the west coast region.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Travel is primarily regional during the business week, although some out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected.
