The Position:
The* Chief Revenue Officer* will oversee and direct all aspects of our client's sales and marketing. The CRO will manage a growing team of both local and remote sales reps led by three sales managers and supported by a growing sales support team.
The CRO will also oversee the growing marketing function, helping to accelerate the transition towards a growth curve driven by digital marketing and the client's new brand.
The CRO will be responsible for hitting revenue targets that increase company size by 2-3x over the coming years, carrying a significant voice and influence over company strategy, structure, and direction, and ultimately leading to greater mission fulfillment and impact.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for ongoing leadership and administration of the client’s sales function, currently divided into three teams (15-25 people).
Responsible for ongoing leadership and administration of the client's marketing team (currently 5 people)
Shared ownership over a 3-5 year strategic plan + budget for sales and marketing teams, participating in the creation, implementation, and management of the budget.
Responsible for the client's annual “wildly-important goals” (WIGs, 4dx) for sales and marketing teams, providing leadership over the process of setting goals, making progress against goals, and ultimately achieving our goals each year.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining a robust set of policies and standard operating procedures for sales and marketing teams, ensuring consistency and excellence of results.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining a simple but robust set of KPIs + dashboards for each department, team, and unique role type on sales and marketing teams.
Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting data to internal and external stakeholders to inform decision-making and provide updates on sales and marketing team progress.
Represent the client with key customers, becoming an effective ambassador of their story and impact, and an expert representative of their products and services, ultimately leading to increased customer loyalty, enthusiasm, satisfaction, and account growth over time.
Represent the client with external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO, as needed.
Work closely and effectively with the CEO to ensure healthy communication and to help shape strategy, team development, and culture for sales + marketing teams.
Serve as a core member of our executive leadership team, helping to provide strategic and operational leadership for the client in the context of a collaborative, healthy, and interdependent team.

Qualifications

Experience in effectively leading sales and marketing in a medium-sized company (~$20M-30M in sales) through a season of high growth.
10+ years in diverse leadership roles, demonstrating successful experience in sales and marketing leadership and administration.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, MBA preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to take ownership of people, processes, and results.
Strong task orientation and ability to prioritize, creating a cadence of forward progress.
Excellent critical thinking skills that pinpoint root causes behind existing or emerging problems. Ability to dive into complexity yet recommend the simplest path forward.
Creativity – thinking outside the box to envision and test new ways of approaching problems.
A highly resourceful team player can build relationships within the leadership team as well as across the organization.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM (Hubspot, Salesforce, or close comp.), and experience working with ERP software systems.
Must be able to work up to 50 hours per week (as needed), must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

Salary + Benefits:

Base ($110,000-$135,000) + Bonus
Core working hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
