We are looking for a Director of Sales Operations to join our fast-growing team. This job will be remote and, while our headquarters is in Seattle, we are open to candidates from anywhere in the United States.

Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales with a primary focus to ensure all sales related operational items are addressed and handled appropriately. This individual will play a key role on the Commercial Team and lead business-critical capabilities, including, CRM, reporting, incentive compensation as well as the development and management of the data warehouse and business information/analytic tools. This individual will ensure Commercial field teams can effectively engage with stakeholders and will optimize commercial effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with VP of Sales to ensure SFA-CRM system meets the business needs of the commercial organization and all necessary maintenance/upgrade items are addressed
Work closely with VP Sales and other cross functional partners to manage performance management tools and sales incentive programs
Lead and manage all field-based training in coordination with the VP of Sales, Marketing and Regional Sales Leadership
Oversee the management of the data warehouse and business information/analytic tools ensuring they meet the needs of the commercial and sales leadership and field force
Provide effective direction and supervision of business analytics direct report ensuring all reports, KPIs, are accurate and timely
Coordinate with Marketing, Training and Sales Leadership on all regional and nationally focused sales meeting planning and execution of logistics
Administer Fleet Services or Car Allowance program
Develop and implement effective sales and marketing materials fulfillment process for field team
Responsible to help produce effective field communication and organization of internal communication to the field
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and operational rules and procedures by ensuring that all plans and activities for and on behalf of CTI Biopharma are carried out with the best industry practices and the highest ethical standards
Work with Legal to monitor Sunshine Act Compliance and all required data entry for customer facing team(s) thru Concur and/or other applicable tools
Assist VP of Sales on budget management and T/E of field team
Work with Field Force leadership to design and maintain updated business plans
Manage and direct the Associate Director of Sales Operations as necessary

Experience & Education Needed:

Required:

10+ years of overall experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industries or equivalent
5+ years in progressively responsible related roles of increasing responsibility in Sales Operations
Experience in startup/emerging life science organizations

HIGHLY Preferred

Experience in the oncology and/or hematology specialties and/or a focus on rare/ orphan diseases and/or 7+ years progressively responsible related roles of increasing responsibility with Sales Operations in the biotech/pharmaceutical industries
New product launch experience

Effectively communicate ideas to a wide variety of people

Use a variety of computer programs and systems, at an advanced level, including: Word, Excel, Email, Internet, databases, etc.).

CTI currently anticipates the base salary for this position could range from $195,000 to $235,000 per year and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and depth of experience. Actual compensation is also dependent upon current market data, experience, and pay parity within our organization. Full-time equivalent employees will also be eligible to participate in the total compensation packing including bonus, long-term equity-based incentives and comprehensive benefits. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
