We are seeking a highly proactive Business Analyst with experience in:

partnering with key functions in a business to identify where data can play a key role in driving growth
scoping those business requirements with sufficient detail, with an ability to translate into logical reports, dashboards and actionable insights
working with analytical system owners to build reporting and deliver impactful actionable insights to teams
influencing business leaders to help them make informed decisions and executing strategies based on these actionable insights

You are an outcomes-focused individual with a high degree of curiosity, detail-driven but eminently pragmatic. Knowing that perfection is not the goal, you prioritise outcomes and impact from the best of what we have, while keeping an eye on ways to improve and refine our data and strategy.

This role will play a crucial part in our mission by collaborating and driving resources within Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations to achieve time-critical outcomes and embed a data-driven philosophy across the business.

You may have financial qualifications or experience operating in or partnering with a finance team. The longer-term objective of the organisation is to develop a stronger end-to-end revenue operations function. This is not a ‘must have’ or a blocker for achieving success in the role.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate closely with core stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations to understand their information needs and business objectives
- Conduct thorough analysis and workshops to gather comprehensive requirements for business reporting, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities across departments
Actionable Insights:
- Utilise data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets related to operations, market trends, product performance, and operational metrics
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations that enable business leaders to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives across departments
Business Strategy Support:
- Work closely with business leaders in Sales, Marketing, and Finance to understand their strategic priorities and align reporting requirements accordingly
- Provide support in developing strategies and initiatives based on insights derived from business reporting, fostering collaboration and cross-functional alignment
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between core stakeholders and reporting specialists, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements across departments
- Collaborate with reporting specialists to ensure that reports are developed accurately and effectively meet the diverse needs of stakeholders
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in cybersecurity, business intelligence, and relevant domains
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and optimise decision-making capabilities across departments

Technical Proficiency:

Not necessarily a coder but should have experience of CRM and other data platforms. Today we use Looker, Salesforce, Google Sheets, and more
Proficient in manipulating and interpreting data both qualitative and quantitative, capable of building reports and dashboards with support from system owners

Requirements

Comfortable working collaboratively and leading virtual teams in uncertain environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into actionable recommendations for a broad range of stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both business leaders and technical experts
