What The Job Looks Like

Reporting to the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Digital Marketing Analytics will create and execute the strategic roadmap for advancing the enterprise’s digital marketing analytics function. This role will lead a team to optimize customer acquisition programs, campaigns, and eCommerce sales; manage digital dashboards and reporting; and guide the organization in advancing our data and analytic capabilities in a dynamically evolving digital landscape.

The Director of Digital Marketing Analytics will oversee analyses across paid media (SEM), organic search (SEO), organic and paid social, digital purchase journeys, partnership marketing, lead nurture campaigns, and reputation management.

The ideal candidate must be highly analytical, intellectually curious, and possess the skills and acumen to translate data into actionable insights that deliver measurable results. This leader will have C-suite visibility and manage key agency/partner relationships.

Responsibilities

The Director Digital Marketing Analytics will lead all facets of marketing analytics to support the organization’s growth strategies including customer acquisition, engagement, cross-sell, and retention. As the enterprise SME, this leader will work closely with colleagues across the Marketing team, Research and Technology, Sales, as well as C-suite executives including the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Data Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and VP of Finance.
This role will lead analyses of the digital ecosystem including digital purchase experience, campaign analysis, lead nurture, and conversion optimization across the various web site properties, landing pages, and campaigns.
The ideal Digital Marketing Analyst candidate must be highly analytical but possess the skills to translate data into insights and visualizations to convey a narrative easily understood by various audiences. This person will be responsible for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly monitoring and reporting and sharing insights.
Architect and lead marketing analytics strategy and roadmap to advance this Center of Expertise including migration to GA4 and a “cookieless” world; the evolution of analytic infrastructure; and development of core analytic competencies (e.g., deep dive analyses, advance attribution, etc.)
Lead a team of digital marketing analysts to support KPI attainment, while providing opportunities for professional development and advancement
Oversee data analyses to accelerate sales growth and profitability of several lead generation and ecommerce channels across brands: Fidelity Life, eFinancial, eCoverage, and strategic partnerships. Analyze data sets to identify high value opportunities to increase revenue through CRO, LPO, and the digital purchase funnel
Strong working knowledge of DMPs (data management platforms) to ensure smooth tracking implementation and accurate reporting. Experience working with dynamic call tracking platforms such as Invoca/Dialogtech a plus
Lead and support analysis of A/B or multi-variant tests using tools such as VWO, Google Optimize, etc.
Supervise ongoing enhancements to digital marketing dashboards and reports to glean business insights, proactively identify performance opportunities, and inform key business decisions
Work closely with vendors/agencies to monitor websites, ensure appropriate tagging and event tracking systems are in place, and end-to-end data exchange is PII-compliant
Serve as enterprise SME regarding all aspects of marketing analytics: best practices, key trends, and leading vendors
Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to prepare quarterly business reviews and support Board of Director presentation development
Digital Testing and Thomas Knapp as a dotted-like report (along with our Trinity consulting relationship).

What You Should Bring To The Table

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field required (e.g., economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or business); Master’s Degree a data/analytic field or business preferred
7+ years of experience in D2C business with excellent web/digital marketing analytics and reporting proficiency; Google Partner certified
Ability to lead and inspire digital analytic talent, collaborate with agency partners, and work across the organization to deliver business results
Proven experience with media modeling, segmentation, attribution methodologies, funnel metrics, statistical analysis, SQL, and Tableau
Capable of extracting data from a variety of relationship databases, manipulating, and exporting using quantitative, statistical, and visualization tools
Working knowledge of API connections to integrate third-party tools with Google Analytics and CRM platforms a plus. Understanding of UTM codes and their appropriate use for campaign tracking
Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel to create complex reporting models from concept to completion (e.g., pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs, etc.)
Excellent project and time management skills, with ability to manage a portfolio of marketing analytic dashboards and projects across brands and digital channels
Strong presentation skills including verbal presentation and formal written documents using PowerPoint and Word
Experience with the following tools and applications:
