Role Description

This role will be responsible for spearheading Evie’s Snacks’ launch into natural and specialty stores in the Northeast! That means calling on natural grocery accounts (e.g. The Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme Market), specialty accounts (e.g. liquor & specialty food stores like Total Wine), and local programs at larger retailers (e.g. Whole Foods’ Forager program) that are a good fit with our product and our target market.

You will support new stores to have a successful launch by providing marketing materials and creating a promotions strategy, and will continue to support the store by building relationships, coordinating staff demos, dropping by to check stock, and following up about reorders. You will own the sales channel from end-to-end, including sales strategy, account management, promotions/ pricing, sales operations, and P&L.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Create and activate a clear, cohesive sales strategy going forward that focuses on key accounts in the natural channels, and adding accounts in new and existing channels (foodservice, online channels) as needed to achieve growth goals.
Oversee setting up of new accounts.
Communicate with the production team.
Achieve velocity goals by setting and managing promotion strategy by account.
Manage existing accounts.
Actively maintain brand integrity and product quality within grocery accounts.
Travel to new and existing accounts for in-person buyer meetings, demos, etc.
Partner closely with Evie’s co-founders to integrate tactical promotional, merchandising and shopper marketing plans within budget realities.
Report on key metrics associated with the retail/ grocery channel, including revenue, profit, productivity, and trade spend.

About You/ Required Experience

5+ years in a sales role, demonstrating proven experience growing a startup food or beverage brand. Category experience is a plus!
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, listening) and the ability to build strong relationships.
Your secret weapon is implementing/utilizing a sales CRM to stay on top of communication! That’s how you follow up with new leads in a timely fashion, check in with existing customers about re-orders, etc.
You are excited to be the face of Evie’s Snacks! If you’re not selling a new account, you’re ready to play retail customer service.
Solid knowledge and experience with the data and analytics required to support wholesale accounts, and an ability to drive a sales organization to success using this input.
Strong detail and organizational skills.
Collaborative individual who thrives in a self-starter environment. You’re professional yet approachable, have clear leadership skills, and think creatively but logically.

Salary

$100,000 - $150,000 total compensation per year
