Job Title: Sales Operations Assistant

Classification: Non-Exempt

Wages: $18 - 22 per hour

Location: Sorrento Valley (San Diego, CA)

Position: Immediate opening / hire

Responsibilities:

Sales

- Handle incoming customer inquiries by telephone and email.

- Support the sales manager by becoming the first point of contact with potential clients.

- Generate leads and follow-up with prospects.

- Conduct marketing research on potential companies/industries and help create sales opportunities.

- Update client database.

- Learn, provide, and update product information.

- Attend trade shows and support all related preparations.

- Business travel within North America and Japan.

- Assist in all other sales administrative tasks.

Operations

- Assist in placing new purchase orders to the manufacturer in Japan.

- Process incoming shipments with freight forwarders and other carriers.

- Assist in managing incoming/outgoing inventory, and counting month end physical inventory.

- Prepare commercial invoice, packing list, and other necessary documents for shipping.

- Pick, pack, and ship products.

- Deliver small packages to FedEx and UPS.

- Any other responsibilities assigned as required.

Helpful Skills & Experience:

- Strong verbal and written English communication.

- Japanese and/or Spanish language proficiency preferred.

- Ability to organize and articulate thoughts, ideas, and instructions.

- Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently but also a team player.

- Desire to acquire new knowledge on our products and related technical information.

- Microsoft Office skills and other applications (Fishbowl inventory management ideal).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
