Reports To: Managing Partner(s) (Regionally)/ CEO / Executive Board of Partners

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly strategic and experienced Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to

oversee the financial management and reporting functions of its audit, tax, and secretarial

services across East Africa. The Group CFO will be responsible for leading financial strategy,

ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing financial performance, and implementing an

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline operations across multiple

jurisdictions—namely Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

This role will have a centralized regional scope with direct oversight over in-country finance

teams, ensuring consistency in financial management and compliance. The Group CFO will be

required to travel regularly to each country/regional office to maintain effective oversight and

alignment of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the firm’s financial strategy to drive profitability and growth across

all regional offices.

Provide strategic recommendations to the Managing Partner(s)/CEO and Executive

Board of Partners.

Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis with a standardized

approach across all country offices.

Ensure the implementation of uniform financial processes and policies throughout the

region.

Financial Operations & Control

Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all

offices.

Implement and enforce standardized accounting policies, financial controls, and

operating procedures region-wide.

Manage working capital, treasury functions, and investment strategies.

Optimize tax planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations in each jurisdiction.

Oversee financial audits and ensure consistency in financial governance across all

regional offices.

ERP Implementation & Technology Integration

Lead the selection and deployment of an ERP system to centralize financial operations

across multiple offices.

Ensure seamless integration with existing accounting, payroll, and client management

systems.

Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational

efficiency.

Compliance, Risk & Governance

Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and tax laws in each

country.

Identify and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange exposure and regulatory

compliance risks.

Implement strong internal audit processes and financial governance frameworks across

the region.

Standardized Budgeting & Management Reporting

Develop and implement standardized budgetary and financial management reporting

procedures across all regional offices.

Ensure consistency in financial reporting, enabling comparative analysis across different

jurisdictions.

Provide regional financial insights and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support

executive decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

Liaise with partners, investors, regulators, and financial institutions.

Prepare and present consolidated financial reports to the Executive Board, ensuring

regional transparency and accountability.

Oversee financial management of firm-owned properties in Kenya and Uganda.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

CPA, ACCA, or CA certification required.

Minimum 15 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO role.

Experience in professional services, audit, tax, or financial consulting is highly desirable.

Proven experience in ERP system implementation and financial digitization.

Strong knowledge of regional tax laws, IFRS, and financial regulations across multiple

jurisdictions.

Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
