Manager of Sales Operations

Purpose: The Manager of Sales Operations is a partner of the sales team and organization to maximize sales and operational ensure all aspects of sales are met

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Continuously improves the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team

· Collaborated with upper management to implement continuous improvements and revenue growth

· Works with executive, upper management and departmental heads to align operational efficiencies and sales priorities

· Resolved problems with high-profile customers to maintain relationships and increase return of customer base

· Direct, develop, and implement a long-term strategic plan for the functional areas within the sales group

· Build relationships with all level of sales group to help empower them on product knowledge to upsell and cross sell with the goal of maximizing shared growth potential and margins

· Developed best integration touch points to ensure that procurement, customer service, and manufacturing will receive clean supply chain requirements to full fill the customer POs with minimal rework

· Compile data to give the sales organization structure

· Enter data and then allow corporate reports to be generated for management

· Monitored the internal and external scorecards and dashboards to see trends

· Organize historical and future bookings and billings data

· Be a Strategic Planner

· Meets with existing clients to discuss company’s products and uses

· Manages orderly contract pulls via sales team

· Report monthly sales numbers to leadership team

· Works to foster lasting relationships with client base

· Locate opportunities to expend client base

· Networks with prospective clients

· Works with sales group to set quarterly sales goals and ensures accountability to those goals

· Manage to ensure sales goals are met and exceeded

· Develops incentive plans and drives team success

· Conduct independent research into target consumer base

· Attends sales conferences and convention

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services

· Possesses knowledge of competitive products and markets

· Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Education and Experience

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Business.

10+ years' experience at the management level.

Work Environment

The Manager of Sales Operations spends the majority of working hours in an office setting, either working or independently or meeting with team members and senior level managers in an office or conference room. Ability to work under pressure and long hours as needed to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
