Staff Sales Operations Analyst - Commissions

Infinera is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst with commissions experience to join our Global Sales Operations group. In this role, you will be part of a team that owns commissions and is responsible for the timely and accurate submission of data to payroll monthly, creating/maintaining commissions dashboards and reports, and handling any questions or disputes from the sales team.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Monthly calculation and payment of commissions
Validate the automated data flow for bookings and invoices
Ensure credit for orders is properly assigned via automation
Meet monthly deadlines for submission to payroll
Work with finance to ensure key controls are met around data review
Work with finance to forecast commissions expense vs budget
Manage ad hoc sales incentives (SPIFFS, MBOs) as appropriate

Annual planning
Ensure any changes to the sales compensation plan are correctly programmed into the tool including extensive use case testing
Verify the feeds from SAP and Salesforce.com
Define the rules for individual and team quotas and implement
Give guidance on best practices on territory assignments and overlays
Work with sales to get annual quotas assigned for regions and individuals
Create and distribute variable pay schedules to the 350+ sales team and follow through on acceptance
Provide feedback on the overall sales compensation plan including metrics, accelerators, etc.

Provide training material and new compensation plans to new hires
Continual improvement of reporting and dashboards
Increase automation and error checking
Partner with Infinera Sales Management to record and document all additions, modifications, and reductions to the sales teams and their associated compensation plans.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

3+ years working experience with commissions plans including tools such as Callidus, Xactly, Varicent, etc.
3+ years of experience with Salesforce.com
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Well organized, results driven and eager to handle difficult problems
Self-motivated with high degree of initiative and analytical and problem-solving skill
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, fast-changing work environment
Have a strong desire to learn – you are energized when new features and technologies become available and eager to understand them and maximize their potential
