The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of International Responder Systems, LLC. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic financial input, and ensure the long-term financial stability and growth of the company. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and business operations.

The position type is half-time (15-20 hours per week/flexible scheduling M-F). The CFO will report directly to the CEO. This position is hybrid but may be required to report to the Elkton, MD office as requested by the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying and addressing variances.

3. Risk Management and Compliance

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
Oversee the audit process and manage relationships with external auditors.

4. Operational Finance

Manage the financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, and internal audit functions.
Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment strategies.
Implement and maintain efficient financial systems, processes, and policies.

5. Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters for key stakeholders.
Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team.
Foster strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners.

Skills and Qualifications

✅ EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.

✅ EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the private and government sector is highly desirable.
