We have an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to fill the role of Chief Client Officer, leading our business development and account management team, as well as our Marketing & Communications team. This new leadership role will create a vision and strategic growth plan for a $700M+ business portfolio, growing at double-digit rates. This person will lead a fast-growing team of 30+ senior account management and business development professionals and influence a broader team of client service and growth-focused professionals across our business lines. The person will have direct oversight of the US team and will collaborate closely with the Canada team for consistency in adopting best practices across North America. They will also work in close collaboration with the global team leading key account relationships.

This person will leverage their deep industry knowledge and network to accelerate our growth even more by programmatically targeting the biggest market opportunities, attracting the very best talent, enabling a more consistent adoption of proven practices, and creating a best-in-class employee experience.

The person in this role will join the Ipsos North America leadership team and report to the North America CEO; the role also aligns with the leader of the global client organization. This leader should have proven experience in delivering measurable impact in topline revenue through repeatable business -- playbook approaches that are transferrable and scalable across businesses, sectors, and geographies. Experience and credibility in market research and marketing analytics is expected.

Key Responsibilities

You will have responsibility as the leader of our commercial organization in the US for driving top-line revenue growth, with an eye toward profit-maximizing offerings. Specifically, your overall responsibilities will be to:

Create portfolio account growth strategies for key clients that will drive revenue year over year via repeat business
Design and deliver scalable sales enablement programs to effectively position our offerings and capabilities with every client and prospect
Prioritize client relationship efforts with the greatest ROI, building prospect client contact lists, and strengthening ties with influencers/decision makers within client organizations
Continue to upskill and elevate the team’s performance with use of commercial best practices
Utilize key performance metrics to continually focus efforts
Ensure teams position appropriate portfolio offerings to drive both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability
Provide leadership and mentoring to cultivate a high-performing commercial organization
Oversee and review major proposals for new research projects and programs, ensuring they are thoughtfully designed, competitively priced, and effectively pitched to clients for high win rates
Deliver regular events/programs to maximize client outreach and new opportunities in collaboration with Marketing and Service Line teams
Oversee the Ipsos NA Marketing and Communications team
Be a brand ambassador representing Ipsos externally with industry associations, at conferences, networking events and in the media
Serve as a key member of the Ipsos North America Leadership team, collaborating with the Ipsos North America CEO and other executive leaders across sectors and functions to drive overall growth and profitability of the business
Personify the One Ipsos model to work in close collaboration with the Business Lines, Marketing, Operations, global product teams, and support teams to maximize our overall North America and Global company success
Role model our leadership behaviors and Ipsos Values (Integrity, Curiosity, Collaboration, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Client First), to develop our next generation leaders through continuous coaching and development to ensure continuity in succession plans for critical roles
Build a continuous pipeline of A-players as potential candidates for the most critical roles to strengthen our critical talent capabilities for our future
Communicate and engage with employees at all levels to inspire and create confidence
Partner with HR on leading organizational change and activating employee engagement strategies

Required Skills

Proven success in sustainable, long term, consistent and profitable double-digit organic growth
Strong team leadership skills with experience in mentoring, coaching and developing high-performing client facing professionals
Solid sales operations experience; able to connect corporate goals to commercial activities and scalable programs
Appreciation for and use of selling methodologies for repeatable performance
Deep experience and understanding of strategic market research (qual and quant); a plus if you have experience in a range of industries, clients and programs
Experience in financial management, financial reporting, and forecasting
Extensive CxO network
Business development, pricing, RFP and pitch review skills
Exceptional client service focus with the ability to confidently act as a trusted advisor/partner with executives and client contacts
Ability to innovate and implement creative business solutions for growth and development
Ability to think strategically in terms of clients’ business, as well as opportunities for Ipsos to grow its business
Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and naturally collaborative style, working across geographies and cultures
Superior organizational skills, including ability to manage and delegate work effectively, attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information, including reporting key performance metrics in a clear and concise manner
Ability to steward organizational change to continually up the game of selling teams
Ability to prioritize based on scale of impact
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years’ experience including:
- Sales / revenue performance management
- Impact driven, Client relationship management
- People leadership
- Preference for NYC-based candidates but we're open to location for all qualified applicants
