Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on financial leader to join our executive team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for driving financial strategy, operational insight, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is instrumental in supporting long-term growth initiatives and fostering strong internal partnerships across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of financial acumen, operational experience, and effective communication skills. Experience in retail is strongly preferred, and familiarity with food, grocery, or e-commerce operations is a plus.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial Leadership

Provide clear financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Lead long-term financial modeling aligned with the organization’s strategic plans.
Support business cases for expansion, including modeling for new locations and evaluating investment opportunities.
Evaluate capital projects and provide structured frameworks for decision-making.

Operational Collaboration

Partner with operations, merchandising, and other departments to identify challenges and develop data-informed solutions.
Contribute to regular leadership meetings and support shared decision-making with financial context.
Help maintain expense awareness and improve overall cost management across functions.

Financial Oversight & Reporting

Improve internal reporting processes, including weekly financial reviews and dashboards.
Refine the budgeting and forecasting processes to support more accurate and timely financial planning.
Work with finance and accounting teams to ensure operational efficiency and clarity.

Support for Digital and Marketing Functions

Analyze the performance of e-commerce initiatives and support decision-making for digital order platforms.
Provide financial insight related to marketing spend, including support for initiatives such as social media efforts.

Organizational Leadership

Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve systems, processes, and reporting accuracy.
Foster a culture of clear communication, accountability, and continuous learning within the finance team.
Serve as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership, providing insight and perspective on financial opportunities and risks.

Initial Areas of Focus

Enhance the organization’s weekly business evaluation process.
Identify and implement cost management opportunities.
Build a budget and forecasting model to improve forward-looking visibility.

QualificationsRequired

10+ years of experience in financial leadership, including senior-level or executive roles.
Background in retail is required; grocery or multi-location experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Familiarity with e-commerce, order fulfillment, and delivery platforms.
Experience with financial modeling for real estate investment or expansion.
Exposure to team-based leadership systems (e.g., EOS, Level 10) is a plus.

Pay: $249,239.00 - $265,415.00 per year
