About the Position

As Regional Sales Manager for the FL & GA markets, you’ll be responsible for growing sales in one of its key territories by supporting the daily sales operations of distributor sales partners, as well as growing the business to help implement their ambitious 5-year growth strategy. The right person for this role will be proactive, goal-oriented, and business savvy, striving to be the best they can be. We expect you to be a master at building relationships and enjoy being out in the field, connecting with key decision-makers, and selling the best water meter solutions system in the world. Boots on the ground are the key to success in this position, and you need to be comfortable with traveling up to 80% travel. This role is remotely based and reports directly to the Head of US Distribution Sales. Your responsibilities include:

Become an expert on the Kamstrup Partner Program and understand what it entails for the distributors and Kamstrup
Directly manage local independent distributors located throughout the territory
Provide distributors with training, guidance, and assistance concerning the markets, how to obtain favorable product acceptance, and increase sales opportunities for all division products
Establish strategic objectives and standards for distributors and monitor the effectiveness of existing distributors to ensure optimum efficiency
Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales objectives will meet the outlined goals in the company business plan
Communicate with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, and Marketing, regarding delivery, training, product manufacturing, and availability
Provide formal and informal technical education regarding all division products and coach and support the distributors within their region
Ensure distributors are regularly trained, virtually or on-site
Advise distributors on all Kamstrup updates, including but not limited to sales processes, terms and conditions, new policies, warranty, software updates
Follow the annual wheel and respect deadlines
Collect monthly forecasts from distributors and update them in the CRM
Forward RFP details and time-frame information to the Bid Manager as soon as the RFP is released
Follow the Business Development Plan process, which the Regional Sales Manager prepares before meeting with the distributor
Targets and activities, and planning of objectives and KPIs are to be discussed with the distributor
The Business Development Plan is updated in the CRM at the end of each quarter
Re-evaluate distributors using the scoring guide and facts – the re-evaluation must be approved by the Head of US Distribution Sales
Ensure the distributor respects the terms of the Distribution Agreement - Any breach must be discussed with the distributor and the Head of US Distribution Sales
Travel of up to 80%

What We Expect from You

Your Work Experience & Education:

Min. 5 years of proven field sales experience as a Territory/Area Manager.
Requires substantial industry and product knowledge.
Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue, utilizing product demos, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Robust understanding of customer service processes. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
Proficient in MS Office
Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills.
Expert abilities in building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and managing time.
Ability to travel up to 80%
High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
