Primary duties

Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, detailing specific milestones, timelines, recruitment plans, competitive tactics, product placement, and communication, all aimed at achieving the organization's ambitious growth goals.

Establish a dynamic feedback channel with the Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance product satisfaction, adoption, and usage across various customer segments.

Provide direct leadership for key areas including self-service metrics, acquisition of new clients, Customer Success, Support, Sales Engineering, Sales Development, and Partnerships/Alliances.

Pinpoint critical industry sectors for the sales team's focus, tailoring sales messages to suit diverse markets and needs.

Evaluate the most effective marketing approaches, deciding between direct sales efforts or leveraging partnerships.

Implement a streamlined and scalable approach for outbound sales activities, ensuring a balance with successful inbound lead conversion.

Manage the entire spectrum of customer acquisition, from individual users to large enterprises.

Strategize on targeting key accounts and enhancing sales within the existing customer base by utilizing product engagement data to promote upsells and drive revenue increases.

Enhance the journey for users of free or freemium models, highlighting the value of premium offerings to encourage upgrades and maintain engagement.

Set clear operational benchmarks, KPIs, and other success metrics to continuously refine and improve the sales strategies, methods, and overall effectiveness.

Act as a proactive leader, capable of representing the product directly to clients and securing major deals as required.

Develop a comprehensive framework for recruiting, training, and mentoring sales personnel, ensuring the program is well-documented and easy to deploy.

Keep up-to-date with in-depth knowledge of the product's key features and capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in guiding revenue growth within B2B SaaS organizations, successfully increasing revenues from $20M to over $100M.

Comprehensive experience managing all aspects of revenue generation, including direct sales, customer acquisition, Customer Success, Support, Sales Engineering, Sales Development, and ideally Channels/Alliances.

Proficient in selling sophisticated technical solutions and articulating their value to technical stakeholders comprehensively.

Background in pioneering companies with a focus on educational sales methodologies.

Recent involvement in early-stage companies, showing adaptability in dynamic, high-pressure environments with the capability to make rapid, critical decisions.

Previous success in engaging with technical purchasers.

Deep understanding of Product-Led Growth strategies, market segmentation complexities (from self-service to enterprise level), and crafting customer journey lifecycles tailored to varying segment needs.

Skilled in creating strategic initiatives and sales approaches that achieve global revenue growth and customer base expansion. Demonstrated success in elevating product market positioning and enhancing enterprise account values.
