Requires: Consistent record of revenue growth for smaller, high-growth IT consulting & solutions company (e.g., taking company from $30 million to $500 million) and sales success in a consultative financial service software sales environment.

Note: 30-40% anticipated travel

Our client is a technology services and solutions provider currently experiencing rapid growth and market expansion. The firm’s expertise includes strategic consulting services, technology solutions, knowledge process outsourcing, and operational optimization to selected segments in Manufacturing, Financial Services, Higher Education, and Public Sector.

The company seeks a Chief Revenue Officer to serve as a pivotal leader in this extremely successful growth period and beyond. The CRO will be responsible for developing the company’s strategy to drive profitable sales and increase company revenue, focusing heavily on the US market. This role will also be responsible for creating and implementing sound business processes and practices across the sales teams to increase profit, productivity, and company cohesiveness. The position reports directly to the CEO.

The right candidate will have a successful track record of leadership, profitable revenue generation, new market growth, and customer acquisition at a high-growth IT consulting & solutions company.

Responsibilities of the CRO:

· Grow revenue year-on-year; scale and develop revenue strategy in an efficient way to achieve growth goals, both short- and long-term

· Institute sales and revenue generation processes that drive predictable, repeatable, and scalable expansion

· Accountable for driving integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions

· Provide support to the sales organization, drive and oversee process optimization, territory and quota development, revenue forecasting, sales compensation, and overall sales force success

· Provide leadership and vision for a dispersed sales team, while effectively handling performance across the team to hit goals for respective regions

· Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives

· Define and oversee sales team compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets

· Own and improve the sales process and customer experience from pre-sale to post-sale

· Examine and improve key business processes that drive scalable growth

· Meet with key clients to assist the sales team in maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals

· Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion

· Partner with other members of the executive team to define, refine and execute a strategic company plan, develop future plans, and go-to-market strategies

Qualifications of the CRO:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent; MBA preferred

· Consistent record of revenue growth for smaller, high-growth IT consulting and solutions company (e.g., taking company from $30 million to $500 million)

· Sales success in a consultative financial services software sales environment with multi-million-dollar deals

· Self-starter with experience working in entrepreneurial and high-growth environments

· Experience leading and developing sales teams, including experience evaluating and building on existing teams, attracting top talent, and retaining successful sellers

· Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations

· Experience creating, implementing, and overseeing business strategies and processes

· Strong track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets

· Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish

· Proven ability to develop client-focused, innovative, and achievable solutions

· Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
