Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Director will be responsible for the Selling, Sales Strategy, Hiring, Training and Leading of the National Sales Managers and Regional Sales Teams within the US.

This position will require developing and owning relationships with Bus Fleets and Influencing Grant and Government Agencies in the United States.

Responsibilities:

Develop, Manage, and Oversee the Sales Strategy, Growth, and Success for the US Bus Sales Team:
Develop regional US Bus Sales Strategy and Future Growth plans
Identify municipal and private fleets that are interested in deploying Electric Buses
Maintain fleet commercial book of business
Develop relationships via cold-calling, referrals, introductions from industry stakeholders, trade shows, events,
Work with our staff and after sales team to oversee the production, delivery, and deployment of vehicles
Author and secure contracts for pilot projects and large deployments
Ability to execute a game plan and strategies of the company.
Must have P&L Proficiency
Any other related task, as requested by Senior Management.
Manage the US Bus Sales Team:
Hiring and Onboarding: Responsible for the hiring and onboarding of US Bus Sales Team
Staffing: Ensure that the team is fully Staffed 100% of the time by utilizing a proactive staffing approach
Training: ability to train in person and remotely each week for sales and technical training
Manage Sales Pipeline: Manage the US Sales Team Pipeline based on KPIs and deliverables from the organization. Must have experience with CRM dashboards and reporting.
Reporting: Create sales reports and communicate sales stats to the Senior Leadership Team
Mentoring and Coaching: Able to coach, mentor, and develop the sales team.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field

Experience:

10+ years’ experience in outside B2B Sales in Trucks, National Accounts, Sustainability Industry or B2B.
5+ years’ experience as a Proven-Sales Leader – direct reports.
Knowledge and industry business development experience in trucking industry, electric vehicle, or advanced clean transportation industry, ITS or related industries
Consultative Selling Style (Challenger Sales Approach)
Must be able to create and develop sales reporting & KPIs, and direct team to those objectives
Must be a Master Recruiter – proven system
Must be a World-Class Sales Trainer – proven examples
Must be a Great Motivator & People Manager
Must be a Proven Executor
