Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for ensuring that management and the Board of Directors receive timely and reliable financial information. This role includes overseeing monthly financial reporting and analysis, annual budgeting, cost reporting, reimbursement analysis, and revenue cycle management. The CFO also leads audit coordination and prepares reporting packages for executive leadership and the Finance Committee. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly financial close, including account analysis of significant accounts.
Manage the revenue cycle and third-party billing vendors; develop strategies to improve revenue and cash collection.
Supervise accounts payable and payroll functions.
Ensure timely and accurate production of financial and program reports across departments.
Analyze trends and produce real-time, visual, and interactive financial reports.
Compile and manage the agency’s annual budget.
Prepare monthly reporting packages for management and the Finance Committee.
Provide cash flow forecasts to support management planning.
Direct the preparation of all external financial reports and filings.
Coordinate with external professionals on cost reports, tax returns, and audits.
Review and ensure accuracy of all funding reimbursement.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience.
CPA or MBA preferred, with public accounting experience a plus.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Oracle software.
Ability to learn and apply new financial systems as needed.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements; must complete annual compliance training and participate fully in investigations and reviews.

Salary Range for this position is $175,000-$200,000 an hour.
