POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Operations and Support Manager is responsible for managing all sales support and isresponsible for developing and overseeing effective sales process to enable the growth of the organization. The Manager will provide leadership for sales activities across the organization including direct management of these three organizations: Engineered Systems Specialists (ESS), Air Distribution Specialists (ADS) and Project Managers (PM). Position is responsible to set and evaluate both departmental and individual performance goals and facilitate ongoing training and professional development for employees in each area. Sales Support Manager will keep these departments functioning by managing workloads and being a strong leader and advocate for employees in these areas by providing guidance, training and mentorship. Previous HVAC and/or construction management experience required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Operations

Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to:

Research and analyze data to identify customers, sales opportunities, and market trends.
Utilize data to create and improve strategic account planning for targeted accounts.
Analyze data to identify specific manufacturer sales strengths and weaknesses and provide recommendations to increase market share.
Work closely and collaborate with the Marketing team to identify and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to drive incremental sales.
Manage CRM utilization and compliance to maximize overall sales efficiency.
Act as a liaison/partner between the Sales team and other internal customers, improving collaboration at all phases, from pre-sale to sale to post-sale.
Identify opportunities and weaknesses within sales and make proposals to create value and increase operational efficiency.
Work effectively with internal support departments to develop effective sales strategies.
Manage 3 sales support divisions of MMS. Titles and position overviews below:
Engineered Systems Specialists (ESS): Employees in this area maintain and develop existing customer relationships through quality service and support of their needs by preparing detailed submittals and comprehensive customer quotes. Employees must maintain and grow their knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines and stay informed of new products.
Air Distribution Specialists (ADS): Employees in this area maintain and develop existing customer relationships through quality service and support of their needs by preparing detailed submittals and comprehensive customer quotes for Air Distribution products. Employees must maintain and grow their knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines and stay informed of new products.
Project Managers (PM): (Order Fulfillment/Project Manager Assistant) manages all aspects of equipment projects - from beginning to end - with direct responsibility for project execution to accomplish specific objectives while meeting deadlines. They are responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of equipment projects while being accountable for assigned projects' scope of work, schedule.
Work closely with Human Resources, Team leaders and Director of Sales and Marketing to recruit, hire and train sales support representatives.
Sales Operations and Support Manager will set objectives, coach and monitor performance for each division assuring that meeting customer needs is first priority.
Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations. Reward and discipline employees when needed, working with Human Resources while maintaining employee confidentiality.
Address employee complaints and resolve problems.
Analyze and control expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements
Manage and direct inside sales/support personnel; lead overall direction, workload coordination, and evaluation.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Make data informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC or Construction industries.
3-5 years of management experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to identify needs and set goals for departments and individuals within each department.
Must be able to effectively evaluate the skill and capability of employees in each area to identify needed training and professional development for each employee as well as broad departmental training needs.
Create successful, ongoing training and development within each division.
Strong communication skills including presenting information and responding to questions from multiple groups including MMS Leadership, team leads, clients, customers, vendors and employees. Communication skills needed in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists.
Experience using CRM to manage sales support teams.
Proven planning, organization and problem-solving skills
Advanced time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask with effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
Energetic with a positive attitude that is conscientious, enthusiastic, articulate, and possesses a professional attitude to handle a fast-paced work environment.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers and work effectively as a manager and team member.

Working Conditions and Frequency:

Position is located in an office environment.

Equipment and Tools

· Daily use of computer and phone.
