What’s the role?

As our CRO / Chief Revenue Officer your primary goal will be to drive global sales numbers to further Millboard’s already successful growth. Reporting to the Managing Director you’ll be working closely with the C-Suite, especially CFO and CMO, and having all regional and global Sales Directors in your reporting line.

Together with other members of the Executive and Senior Leadership Team, you’ll focus on strategic planning, sales, marketing, expansion of business partnerships and customer segments, with the overall focus of maximising revenue streams and generation.

This role can be undertaken from any location with a similar time-zone to our UK Head Office and the ability to occasionally visit the Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Revenue Planning: Formulate and own a comprehensive revenue strategy, managing and executing it against short, medium and long term plans.

Operational Oversight: Direct and oversee the revenue generating operations of Millboard, both through direct control of your key areas (e.g. Sales and Business Development) and through collaboration and coordination with other key divisions such as Marketing and Finance.

Team Leadership: Effectively lead, empower, and enable the Sales and Business Develop team to maximise their performance and proficiency, fostering and embedding an environment of continuous improvement, learning and high performance.

Leadership Collaboration: Engage in close working relationships and collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team for all revenue focused strategic and operational undertakings, providing insights from a range of sources, analysis, projections, and evaluations.

Revenue Strategy Formulation: Lead the ideation, execution and deployment of innovative revenue generation strategies and activities, creating tactics and plans to keep on top of, and stay ahead of industry trends and shifts.

Customer and Partner Focus: Establish and develop strategic relationships with distribution, merchant, retail and domestic customers and partners to maximise opportunities.

Your Background and Experience

Proven Commercial Expertise: Able to demonstrate several years’ experience in a similar or related role and a quantifiable impact on revenue.

Industry Knowledge: Experience working in a related industry, such as a manufacturer working with extensive distributor networks and specifiers, but still with customer and end user contact.

Communication: Able to distil complex strategies, plans and problems into actionable insights. Excels at working with a diverse group of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Sales Experience: Experience of leading and scaling up global sales teams, driving and maximising performance and ability across the board, with a track record of implementing and refining best sales practices.

Analytical Mindset: Extensive experience of revenue planning and projection and providing in depth analysis for all areas of influence and control. Leverages data and analytics to identify trends (both internal and external), identify new revenue opportunities and inform decisions.
