Who You Are:

Figure 8 is looking for a Director of Local Sales and New Location Openings with a marketing and sales background, to join the marketing and sales team. We are seeking a person that is enthusiastic about spreading the joy of ice cream through our mission through sales and marketing channels with a strong industry knowledge in the location that they are based in either NYC, Chicago, Miami, Boston or Austin. You will build a robust sales and marketing outreach to drive additional revenue streams for the museum. Along the way, you will take risks, learn, and optimize as you engage and build our following and influence.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As the Director of Local Sales and New Location Openings , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the sales operations and successful openings of Museum of Ice Cream locations across multiple cities, including Singapore, Chicago, Austin, NYC, Boston, and Miami. This leadership position requires a strategic and results-driven professional with a proven track record in managing P&L, driving revenue growth, and ensuring operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead local sales teams in each city, providing guidance, coaching, and support
- Implement performance metrics and incentive programs to drive sales excellence
P&L Management:
- Take accountability for the profit and loss (P&L) of Museum of Ice Cream locations, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded with an emphasis on driving ancillary revenue (beyond ticket sales) such as event sales, partnerships etc.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, manage costs, and optimize profitability
Location Forecasting:
- Work closely with forecasting teams to develop accurate sales forecasts for each location
- Implement strategies to ensure locations consistently meet or exceed forecasted targets
New Location Openings:
- Oversee the successful launch of new Museum of Ice Cream locations in 2024 (Boston and Miami) by securing a pipeline of event sales and partnerships to augment the launch of these new locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless opening, including coordination with marketing, operations, and other relevant departments
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in each city, adapting strategies accordingly
- Stay informed about local trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and cohesion in achieving overall business objectives
Customer Experience:
- Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring a high-quality and consistent experience for Museum of Ice Cream visitors across all locations

The salary range for this position is $80,000 (base) + can earn upwards of $160,000 based on commission.

Requirements

The necessities and nice-to-haves:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
Proven experience in P&L management, sales leadership, and new location openings
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel as needed to each location
