Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join us in this mission. This person will build and manage our go-to-market strategy, lead our business development (sales), client success, partnerships and marketing functions, and deliver our annual revenue targets. Together with the executive leadership team, you will execute the corporate strategic plan, focusing on expanding new client segments and partnerships and growing business with repeat clients. You will be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of scaling revenue streams through high-value sales, client success and smart marketing.

This role reports to the CEO, Martha Weidmann, and can work remotely from any of the following metro areas: Denver, CO; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; and Austin, TX. We are headquartered in Denver, CO and our beautiful Seattle office, a houseboat on Portage Bay, is available for workspace or client meetings.

Responsibilities

Deliver Closed/Won sales objectives for the year

Apply your past experience to scale our Go-to-Market strategy. We have a proven track record of sales success, and you will build off of our Ideal Client Profile, targeted client surveys, NPS scores, and pipeline cultivation strategy to segment our target markets for pursuit, build demand for our offering, and acquire new business from new and repeat clients.
Travel frequently to events, new business presentations and repeat client meetings to build demand, win new business and expand existing client business.

Lead our Business Development (Sales), Client Success, and Marketing Teams

Provide day-to-day coaching and support the career development of your three direct reports: Director of Business Development Jackie Newell, Director of Client Success Andrea Barry, and Director of Marketing Raquel Mideau, as they lead a 9-person go-to-market team. Manage and coach the team on sales methodology and process, prospecting strategy, sales stage progression, presentation and proposal execution and contract negotiation. Drive alignment, efficiency and optimization across the go-to-market functions.
Business Development: Lead the business development team of two in prospecting, qualifying and converting net-new business clients for our art consulting and curation solutions. Build analytics, forecasting and reporting model for new business.
Client Success:Guide our client success team of two in expanding business from repeat clients by segmenting our client base, applying a client engagement strategy customized for each segment and driving growth from repeat clients through engagement and upsell. Expand our high-value strategic client base through personal relationship building.
Marketing: Oversee marketing organization of 5 focused on building qualified pipeline and expanding brand awareness of our solutions. Build demand at the top of the funnel through website, content marketing, advertising, events, social and solutions-oriented Account-based Marketing (ABM) campaigns targeting prospective commercial real estate developers, municipalities and civic institutions.
Technology: Own and optimize our HubSpot sales and marketing platform and 3rd party data enrichment partners.
Partners: Build and manage our referral partner network of architects, designers and consultants that refer business to NINE dot ARTS. Expand our partner network by identifying new partners, building relationships and formalizing our partner management processes and systems.

Partner with the Executive Team to develop and execute our company-wide strategic plan

Work closely with our Executive Team - CEO, Chief Curator, CFO, and COO - as well as the Board to set and drive organizational vision by setting quarterly and annual goals, tracking KPIs, and managing toward a 5 year strategy.
Incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) goals into your work and annual performance goals, and demonstrate the values outlined in our paper, The Art of Representation.

Skills and Qualifications

10+ years in diversified revenue-focused leadership roles, driving repeatable revenue growth and success in owning and delivering a revenue target through marketing, branding, sales and strategic partnerships
Proven experience developing and executing business strategy, with a history of decision-making based on business metrics
Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
Experience with professional services and consulting, particularly experience with our key client industry of commercial real estate development, including adjacent services such as architecture, design, construction, development or finance
Strong technical experience with HubSpot and other commercial tools is preferred
MBA—or equivalent advanced degree is preferred

Compensation

Base pay of $175,000 plus uncapped commission, for a potential of $300,000+ OTE.
