Summary

Online Stores, PA LLC is seeking a Head of Marketplace Sales & Operations to add to its growing on-line merchandising team.

This person is accountable to grow sales across all marketplace platforms in a manner consistent with annual budget goals. They are adept in Amazon operations and other platforms, skilled in inventory management, catalogue management and related eCommerce activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Manage Marketplace Catalog

Listing quality

They are accountable to manage listings in a manner that provides descriptive clarity, visual appeal, technical accuracy and search efficiency. Listings should be reviewed and adjusted periodically on a scheduled basis. New listings should be established in advance of inventory availability.

Pricing efficiency

The head is responsible to set the selling prices for the marketplace and wholesale accounts in a manner that achieves optimal profit. Price reviews should be performed quarterly for the entire catalogue or for individual skus as a new sku is added.

Team Management

The Head of Marketplace will oversee existing marketplace team members and will be responsible for growing the team in accordance with business growth. They will be responsible for coordinating activities with 3rd party service providers where applicable.

Manage Marketplace Inventory Levels

The Head of Marketplace is accountable to maintain inventory levels in a manner that avoids 'out of stock’ conditions while minimizing storage fees. They must maintain an accurate awareness of inventory movement, rate of sale and marketplace sales trends at a sku level to effectively mange inventory levels. Close collaboration with the merchandising team is required to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained at all points in the supply chain. They are accountable to harvest and distribute metrics reflecting the efficiency of the finished goods investment.

Execute Promotional Campaigns

This person is accountable to establish promotional campaigns via the nominated ad agency in a manner that returns a positive ROI and operates within a defined monthly budget.

Achieve Sales Targets

Most importantly, this role is accountable to achieve the monthly/annual sales (net of fees) for each platform/channel as defined in the Company’s financial budget. They should demonstrate analytical insight to the monthly performance of each channel and exhibit the ability to influence the financial results. All the tools of advertising, pricing and inventory management are at the disposal of the person in this role.

Qualifications

Previous Amazon marketplace management experience is a must-have
Demonstrated experience in a SKU-intensive (>1,000) inventory environment
Leadership track record
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized
