The Opportunity:

We're seeking an experienced CFO for a 6-9 month maternity cover engagement to lead our finance function during a pivotal period of growth and strategic development. This role requires someone who builds, not just maintains - a leader who can strengthen financial operations while navigating complex strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop our existing finance team, ensuring robust financial operations and reporting
Oversee financial governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
Partner with department heads across engineering, product, sales, and QA on budgeting and resource allocation
Navigate complex transaction environments and manage stakeholder relationships (investors, board, enterprise clients)
Provide strategic counsel to the CEO and executive team on growth initiatives
Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and financial partners
Support enterprise sales cycles with sophisticated financial modeling for B2B contracts
Oversee special projects requiring discretion and strategic financial expertise

You Bring:

CA/CPA qualification with 5+ years senior finance experience
Proven track record as CFO or senior finance leader in scaling technology companies
Experience managing finance teams and driving operational excellence
Deep expertise in complex transaction management and stakeholder negotiations
Understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription models, and B2B enterprise contracts
Experience with payment platforms and financial technology is highly regarded
Ability to operate with complete discretion on confidential strategic matters
