Job Summary

The Director of Deal Strategy leads a team responsible for optimizing deal structure and contract operations in support of our go to market strategy and revenue goals. This Directorship role is highly visible both internally and externally and will play a key role in defining our long-term growth and go to market strategy. This leader is tasked with ensuring we maximize the value of our sales portfolio to drive revenue goals, while simultaneously ensuring operational best practices in deal structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the team responsible for optimizing revenue performance through deal structure, economics of the deal and order operations to support our growth and retention strategies.

• Works across disciplines to develop a mature “commercial desk” function that serves to bring together go-to-market strategy, economic analysis, transactional models, and value-added services.

• Partners with our stakeholders to analyze needs and develop appropriate content and tools to support company strategic initiatives and facilitate Sales and Customer Success goals in order to maximize customer experience, growth and retention.

• Works to maximize SKU management and efficiency in support of deal velocity and growth.

• Defines and analyzes key sales performance metrics with responsibility for identifying and communicating opportunities across the sales organization.

• Develops people through effective career pathing, performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on development of talent and succession planning across teams and functions.

• Ensures the value of our sales portfolio is maximized to drive revenue while simultaneously cultivating key corporate account relationships and retention.

• Understands and leverages the competitive environment both domestically and globally.

• Develops internal standing as the go-to leader and subject matter expert for deal structures, transactional models, and order strategy.

• Working aligned to the company's values, in the promotion of an inclusive workplace, and in the achievement of our company vision and key strategies.

Technical Skills / Competencies

• Proficiency with Salesforce

• CPQ, NetSuite and complimentary quoting systems and tools.

Education & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in sales strategy, data analysis, revenue operations /analytics, order management, finance, deal structure, or related areas.

• 5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 of those years directly leading people.

• Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and proven success driving strategic initiatives and measurable results to enhance both customer and employee satisfaction.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company and with others in the organization.

• Ability to interact with business leaders, provide insights and recommendations, and collaborate to solve complex challenges.

• Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.

Compensation

Annual base salary gross: $155k-180k plus variable USD Annual. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Company's contemplated salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographic location. The salary is one component of Company's total compensation package for employees.
