Post & Row Brewing Co. crafts exceptional craft beer, bringing people together through its vibrant taproom, catering services, and food truck. The Roadhouse, our iconic truck stop, offers a classic diner experience, convenience store and a liquor store, serving locals and travelers alike. As we grow our multi-venue offerings, we’re seeking a Head of Business Operations to unify our operations and manage financial systems for both companies with precision.

The Role

We’re looking for a versatile, detail-oriented leader to oversee day-to-day administrative operations and in-house bookkeeping for our group of companies. Reporting directly to ownership, you’ll streamline processes, manage finances for Post & Row Brewing Co. and The Roadhouse using Sage50, handle tax reporting and payroll, and ensure our brewery, taproom, diner, liquor store, catering, and food truck thrive. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves the fast-paced, community-driven world of F&B and excels at balancing operational leadership with financial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management: Help oversee daily operations across multiple venues, including staff scheduling (7shifts), vendor coordination, inventory management (MarginEdge), and event logistics for taproom, catering, and diner operations.

Bookkeeping & Financial Oversight: Manage in-house bookkeeping for Post & Row Brewing Co. and The Roadhouse with high proficiency in Sage50, including budgeting, expense tracking, sales reconciliation, invoice management, tax reporting (GST/HST, PST), and payroll processing; prepare financial reports for ownership and external accountants.

Banking & Systems: Utilize the CMO banking system for financial transactions and cash flow management, ensuring accuracy and compliance across both companies.

Administrative Leadership: Handle HR tasks (e.g., onboarding, training), maintain records, and streamline processes using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Technology Integration: Leverage TouchBistro (POS) to optimize operations and financial reporting; train on MarginEdge and 7shifts as needed.

Strategic Support: Partner with ownership to drive growth, improve cost efficiency, and implement scalable systems for our expanding group of companies.

Guest Experience: Ensure operational excellence supports outstanding customer service across all venues, from the taproom’s craft beer vibe to The Roadhouse’s diner hospitality.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in F&B operations, management, or a related role, ideally in multi-venue or multi-entity settings (brewery, restaurant, catering, retail, or truck stop).

High proficiency in Sage50 and bookkeeping, including tax reporting (GST/HST, PST), payroll processing, and financial reporting for multiple entities; experience with QuickBooks or Xero is a plus.

Familiarity with the CMO banking system or similar financial platforms (training provided if needed).

Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint proficiency preferred.

Familiarity with F&B tools like TouchBistro, 7shifts, or MarginEdge is a plus (training provided).

Strong organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills, with a knack for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for hospitality, craft beer, and creating memorable guest experiences in Dawson Creek’s vibrant community.

Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not required.
