About the Job:

The Director of Continuous Improvement is a strategic enterprise partner and is responsible for evaluating the current operational processes, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and developing strategic techniques to improve procedures, increasing serviceability with a cost-reduction approach.

Travel: 85% to various locations in the US (primarily South Carolina and TX) with some travel to Mexico.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role you will perform functions including:

Promote achievement and performance improvement to support process excellence via specific customer KPI's throughout the organization with specific responsibility over assigned areas of processes and customer focus;
Summarize high level process improvement concepts;
Implement and oversee enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives within various environments: corporate, warehousing/cross-docking, and transportation;
Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports and providing data and recommendations to Customer, Operations and Quality Leadership. (KPIs, Internal and external issues, etc.);
Effectively interact with Quality Planning, Control, Customer Relations, Sales, Operations, and the Purchasing teams to ensure, and establish quality requirements including but not limited to testing, introduce new services, etc.;
Write SOPs for current processes as well as future processes that will be implemented;
Mentor department representatives responsible for process improvements, may be green belts or subject matter experts; and
Analyze quality data to identify preventive actions, presenting to Operations and Quality Leadership as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and/or four years of experience within the Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and quality fields;
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred;
Proven ability to build consensus and lead change;
Thorough understanding of quality standards and methodologies;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; and
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
