Scope of the Role

As a Sales Operations Director, you will work closely with each of our sales teams to promote efficiencies in the sales process and ensure sales pipelines are properly worked and forecasting is accurate. As a sales management expert, you will help to remove roadblocks, optimize the use of our technology stack and ensure quality and reliability of sales data.

The right candidate will be a skilled communicator, able to work with a diverse and senior sales team to implement and manage sales operational initiatives. Working proactively with the senior management team, you'll be responsible for driving best practices for reporting, forecasting and evolving our sales process.

This role requires building knowledge, trust and relationships across Recollective. You'll report directly to the SVP (Sales) and the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

Continuously assess current sales processes, structure and performance to fuel analytical insights and accelerate aggressive growth.
Create and drive adoption of standardized sales operations, processes, tools and reporting.
Implement a lead and opportunity scoring system. Ensure consistent application of scores and rollup to monthly and quarterly forecasting.
Ensure that sales teams have appropriate processes and metrics to continuously review and improve sales performance.
Work with individual sales team members to review their pipeline and forecasts.
Assess individual sales reps’ efforts to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, ensuring best practices are shared throughout the organization.
Foster rigorous data governance. Flag inconsistencies and recommend alerts, reporting and process improvements.
Develop new sales analytics tools where required.
Communicate and collaborate effectively, across all levels of the organization.

Experience and Qualifications

6+ years of experience in a broad span of Sales or Sales Operations functions, ideally in the enterprise software or market research industry
4+ years as a Sales Manager with a passion for developing Sales Operations talent
Strong problem solving and collaboration skills; outstanding at structuring, interpreting, and presenting analysis
Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data quickly; advanced level of Excel and Tableau skills preferred
Global mindset, comfortable working with cross-regional, cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams in a high-growth environment
Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to translate complex problems using non-technical terms
Proven success in developing and working in high performing teams
In-depth understanding of modern sales and forecasting methodologies
Ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
Thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as analysis, distribution, people management and performance management
Champion company initiatives, minimize risk for the business and proactively find ways to maximize profits for your group.

Location

This position is open to all applicants located in Canada, although preference will be given to those located in Ottawa and those willing to work within the Eastern Time Zone.
