What You Will Be Doing:

The Deal Desk Analyst will join a dynamic Deal Desk team and will partner with Sales Leadership, Sales Reps, and members of Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Product Management, and other functions to ensure pricing approval, delivery of accurate quotes and order forms, and ongoing revenue management/reconciliation. The role focuses on building a strong partnership with a group of sellers to ensure RegEd’s pricing and deal construction process, including the optimization of CPQ. You will receive quote requests from the sales team, review, approve and provide accurate quotes while communicating with various departments within the organization. The role provides guidance and recommendations on deal pricing, commercial structure, and contract terms and conditions to optimize revenue and bookings in-line with the Company’s financial and strategic objectives.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Serve as a strong partner to a group of sellers to help deliver successful outcomes on complex deals, in partnership with the Sales organization.
Review and approve deal terms in Salesforce (SFDC) and ensure appropriate documentation in quote outputs and contracts.
Lead communication and management of exceptions approval with relevant stakeholders, including members of the RegEd Sales Leadership Team and Executive team (CFO, CRO, CEO, Chief Product Officer)
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of customer needs combined with market and product knowledge to be able to influence and shape the development of commercial constructs.
Ensure discount/maintenance levels and payment terms are compliant and in-line with company guidelines.
Monitor and confirm pricing exception approvals, escalate when appropriate and build a strong relationship with approvers.
Perform post close audit reviews to ensure the correct product and financial information is recorded in SFDC.
Maintain an agreed upon SLA on deal turnaround times.
Train the Deal Desk/Sales Operations and Sales Team members on pricing, quoting and contracting models.
Assist the Sales Team during the customer/contracting lifecycle, Quote to Order Form, Post Contract Subscription Accuracy and ongoing Reconciliations/Revenue Management to create additional opportunities.
Help drive projects and initiatives focused on improving efficiency and simplifying processes throughout the sales operations and sales organization.
Partner with sellers on RFPs within their territory
Participate in the coordination, review of and response to RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s

Must Have:

Minimum 5 years of relevant career experience with a technology company (in a Deal Desk Role, Sales/Field Finance, Customer Success) with a demonstrated pattern of increased responsibility
Experience with CRM databases, preferably Salesforce.com and quoting tools, ideally Salesforce CPQ
Excellent attention to detail
Strong listening, analytical, modelling and organizational skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of software pricing, discounting, value-positioning, and revenue recognition concepts
Deep knowledge of Salesforce, CPQ and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage large transactions and ensure that open items are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
A thorough understanding of the sales process and the ability to navigate and progress long, complex sales cycles;
Work under pressure without compromising quality
Experience working in a cross-functional environment to develop collaborative solutions but able to work independently when necessary
Adept at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationships along the way;
Ability to use judgment and draw on experience to make decisions or recommendations
Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful;
Personable, energetic, and highly collaborative, able to build network quickly
Quantitative undergraduate degree required.

The compensation range for this position is $65,000-$85,000. RegEd's compensation package is based on each candidate's unique skills, qualifications and experience.
