Our client is a leading supplier of competitive apparel, athletic gear, and accessories. They have an immediate need for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who will be a key member of the company’s executive leadership team and will lead the revenue generation efforts. Reporting to the CEO, the CRO will direct existing sales channels and partnerships, while improving performance and developing a strategies and opportunities for profitable revenue generation over the long term.

The successful candidate will have exceptional business development skills and experience selling to top clients. The ability to inspire, motivate, lead, and manage a team by clearly communicating the company vision and revenue strategy across all relevant functions is essential. The CRO should have experience building an innovative, creative, and repeatable sale process from the ground up, by aligning and driving sales through to a successful close.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Oversee key revenue-generating functions including retail sales, wholesale, and digital channels.

• Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals.

• Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.

• Oversee sales modeling, including budgets and forecasts to meet annual financial goals with responsibility for related P&L lines.

• Build, mentor and train individuals and teams in Sales and Account Management.

• Work cross-functionally to develop top-notch, personalized sales materials and pitch decks.

• Participate actively in strategic and business unit planning to develop reasonable and thorough revenue projections for annual budgets and multiyear projections.

• Create a standardized outreach for current and future clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, client management, marketing, and communications.

• Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions with these metrics

• Track business development metrics and share the analysis and insights to drive activity and support the overall health of the business.

• Establish both short-term results and long-term strategy.

• Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement and then success.

• Execute the go-to-market strategy for products and pricing.

• Create focus and collaboration across the C-suite and with direct reports.

• Visionary thinker with high levels of intelligence, analytical strength, and conceptual ability.

• Change agent with strategic instincts and long-term vision; the ability to address both big-picture issues and detailed day-to-day management concerns.

Education and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in a global high-level revenue and strategy role.

• Sporting goods and fitness apparel experience a plus

• Requires strong financial, analytical, modeling, writing, computer, and software skills

• Deep knowledge and utilization of business intelligence systems

• Budgeting and forecasting experience

• A successful background of scaling revenues in high growth environment

• Expertise of growing, training, and managing a global sales team, including developing sales strategies and matrixes for analyzing sales performance.

• International operations and M&A experience a plus
