Sales Operations Analyst
The role of Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for providing information and insights on the firearms category, customer activity, and business metrics. This sales support function supports the day-today activities of the Sales Operations and Sales teams. The Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for compiling, maintaining, and analyzing multiple data sets to provide context, driving business decisions. Report development, customer data interpretations, initiative and critical problem solving will occur daily. The ideal candidate will possess a willingness to recommend process improvements for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular communication with sales and management teams regarding customer performance.
Review of sales data to determine trends and forecasts.
Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources.
Leverage data to draw actionable insights and inform the sales operations team.
Build dashboards to automate reporting and generate insights for sales team, operations, and management.
Build and implement sales analytics and business intelligence which will enable the sales organization to successfully execute on selling strategies and achieve sales goals.
Support the sales team by developing and providing customer presentations for consistent content.
Analyze and report sales data and key metrics to various internal users such as department heads and executive staff.
Provide context to data reporting, calling out opportunities, variances, or trends.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for major sales initiatives and programs.
Participate in training on new systems, programs, and processes which may include assisting in the business requirements or testing phases.
Prepare and distribute dashboards, PPT presentations and reports in varying frequencies to communicate information in a succinct, clear manner for Executive Leadership Team.
Suggest and develop process improvements for all facets of the Sales Operations Department.
Engage with and support external sales teams and internal leadership for commercial, international, and law enforcement sales.
Support the Director of Sales Operations with ad hoc reporting and presentations.
Substantial communication will be required with both internal and external staff.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent related job training and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of analytics experience with emphasis on sales reporting and analytics.
Experience with SAP, SPS Commerce, Qlikview or similar application highly desired.

Competencies and Skills:

Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional skills in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be detail oriented and able to work independently to achieve aggressive task deadlines.
Ability to think critically and creatively through difficult problems requiring timely response.

Physical Demands:

Works in an office environment.
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:
Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is like most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:
* Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor*
