Job Summary

Lead a sales support team responsible for sales reporting and POS analytics, sales forecasting, trade spend and customer marketing budget allocation and promotional planning, new item objectives and execution, and developing and tracking sales quotas. Oversees the Customer Service, Revenue Planning & Analytics, and Sales Operations Support Functions. Focus on the improving of processes and methodologies to drive growth and delivering insights from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.

Essential Functions

Execute the data, reporting and analytics strategy for the sales department. Develop reports and usages of SPINS data, and IRI/Nielsen data, as well as train key sales staff how to use POS data to lean on fact based selling their trade customers.
Evaluate current systems and make recommendations where needed to acquire necessary tools and technology required to achieve strategic objectives.
Work with sales leaders to develop performance annual sales objectives to achieve topline goals by account, region, channel and overall.
Assist with the preparation for account business reviews including evaluating existing performance and identifying opportunities
Work with key sales executives to design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, trade planning, and budgeting processes
Analyze industry, company, and territory data for ongoing evaluation of strategies.
Design and implement sales quotas by account and area
Facilitate successful implementation of key initiatives through the sales organization
Create and manage a trade fund system and program across all channels of business
Allocate, plan, roll-up and summarize trade spending on a Bi-annual basis
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the sales and operations teams around things such as new customer on-boarding, order prioritization, and fill rates.
Lead the sales support and key account teams at Nutraceutical, across all channels of business.

Additional Responsibilities

Lead the Revenue Growth Management Task Force
Manage Power BI Integration for sales dashboards and reporting.
Develop tools for the sales team for effective assortment and promotional management.

Job Qualifications

Strong team work, communication, problem solving, and creativity skills
Strong time-management and organization skills
Proficient with point-of-sale and panel data (i.e. SPINs/IRI/Nielsen)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent working knowledge of financial statements
Ability to distill both quantitative and qualitative data to generate key insights
Ability to display strong self-initiative and support recommendations with sound thinking and fact-based evidence (data, research, best practices, etc.)
Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals
Ability to bring strategic level thinking to a tactically executable level
5+ years previous experience preferred in sales operations, sales enablement/analytics and FP&A
Industry experience a must
