WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This position will optimize Vanguard’s pricing data sets, acting as liaison to the commercial functions including sales, operations, procurement, and pricing. The Pricing Data Associate will be a key player in the development and execution of best practices, facilitating all aspects of the price data management under the leadership of the Pricing Manager. The function will create and provide critical cost and margin insights, and oversee all aspects of pricing data management, including data conversion, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of our pricing data sets and RFPs. The Pricing Data Associate will work in close collaboration with the cross functional pricing team to drive tactical pricing decisions, including RFPs. The role will work in close collaboration with the Global Pricing Teams to share leading practices as well as adopt and adapt global strategies for the NA trade lanes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Maintain all aspects of pricing data operations, including tariffs, costs, analytics, and metrics.

· Manage the RFP data conversion and input process

· Analyze cost, utilization, and pricing data, with the aim of producing policy/price change recommendations.

· Drive the adoption of new pricing initiatives through the organization, acting as change agent to promote a Strategic Pricing Culture.

· Work with various function to ensure accuracy of standard costs.

· Development of semi-automation tools for Pricing and Sales Management to build price quotes and manage pricing execution.

· Monitor Sales compliance with pricing policies and structure; ensure consistency.

· Provide guidance to contracting team for improvement opportunities of the quoting and contracting process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· 3 to 5 years related experience

· Experience manage large data sets, particular pricing data

· Deep analytical experience and acumen

· Influencing and highly collaborative in group settings

· Strong analytical skills

· Business Financials & Value Proposition Development

· Process management

· Logistic pricing experience required

· Financial Modelling
