Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Chief Growth Officer to support our objective as part of Trilon’s Water, Municipal and Disaster Recovery (WMDR) platform to significantly grow its business in the Southeast region through aggressive organic and acquisitive growth. The Chief Growth Office will be responsible for growth strategy development, implementation, and sales success across the Southeast region. This is a new position focused on growth of an already well-established firm in the Southeast who wishes to enter into new disciplines within the current market and new geographies within the region including overarching growth strategy, business development, sales leadership, revenue delivery across all lines of business and channels, and associated tools and analytics.

The individual will work with the current Waggoner leadership team as well as the WMDR platform Chief Growth Officer to identify new opportunities through organic and acquisitive growth. Included in this role is responsibility for directing and managing market competitiveness, compensation, distribution and strategies. This role will provide leadership toward the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the platform’s vision, values and one-page plan (OPP).

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

Create and execute sales strategies to meet all requirements while achieving revenue and profit goals. Invest time in learning and evaluating new processes and technologies that will impact the business.
Build a team of sales and strategy professionals (leveraging existing resources where appropriate) to drive profitable growth.
Develop strong partnerships and development of strategies to align services and differentiate across platform partners and Trilon family of companies.
Cross-sell the WMDR platform companies’ services to expected success via targeted opportunities and partnerships. Collaborate closely with peers (Marketing, Operations, and Services) to ensure alignment.
Develop and coordinate execution of sales strategies for potential new partnerships to ensure consistency.
Analyze, evaluate and increase the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.
Develop goals, budgets, short term and long-range goals in support of business objectives.
Oversee all sales functions to ensure high quality sales, service and delivery.
Assist sales team in delivery of proposals and presentations where necessary to close strategic deals.
Provide mentoring, coaching, development and counseling as needed to sales team and other key leadership across the companies.
Be a people developer and people leader, developing staff and outside firms to deliver solid differentiation.
Identify strategic business opportunities.
Evaluate new service viability and marketability as needed.
Ensure awareness of evolving trends for potential investment.

Expectations

Shall be aware of Southeast AEC Market and knowledgeable about Clients/Consultants in the region and work experience within the region is a plus.
Have well established relationships in the southeast region.

Lead company sales professionals and external partners to achieve sales and profit objectives
Work closely with Waggoner leadership across the WMDR platform and other Trilon cornerstone platforms to create alignment and identify areas for collaboration
Drive consistent sales methodologies and set direction
Integrate marketing and pursuit initiatives to produce optimal competitive proposals and client presentations to ensure alignment with core key messaging and differentiation to outsell in the markets served
Tightly integrate customer experience initiatives to measure satisfaction and continued growth
Identify strategic business opportunities and develop and implement capture plans to position Waggoner to win these opportunities
Cultivate awareness of company services

What you'll need

Four-year degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or other relevant experience is also considered. Master's degree is preferred. Relevant experience of at least 15 years in Sales/AEC Marketing Field.
