In case you’ve been living under a rock these past few years (and who could blame you?), email newsletters are all the rage. Driven by the rise of email-first publishers and the explosion of independent writers on platforms such as Substack and Patreon, for these publishers and writers, email is the medium of engagement, and their website is often little more than a registration page.

To successfully monetize their newsletters, publishers like Morning Brew, 1440, Inside.com, and Axios seamlessly integrate sponsored content. This content is well-received by subscribers because it doesn't feel like ads. It's relevant, matches the look and feel of the editorial content, and often is written in the publisher’s voice.

While sponsored content is highly effective, it requires significant manual effort using the tools available today, making efficient scaling impossible for advertisers and publishers alike. Wellput is building a simple platform that streamlines sponsored content in email

The Role

You will be responsible for building and running a team that manages the onboarding of advertisers and publishers to Wellput and the maintenance of those client relationships. You will support the advertiser sales and publisher business development teams by being an administrator of Wellput's technology, allowing the team to stay organized and efficient and supporting company leadership to make informed strategic decisions. Success in this role will involve a curiosity in searching for and identifying ways to improve our processes, an analytical approach to technology, and a service-oriented approach to supporting our customers. We need someone who naturally finds and fixes inefficiencies that will make us faster and smarter and is fun and easy to work with.

Responsibilities include:

Onboarding new publishers and advertisers to Wellput and educating them on our process.
Monitoring advertiser and publisher performance.
Create ad hoc reports for publishers and coworkers as needed.
Interface with the product team to communicate issues and improve the platform.
Work closely with cross-department leadership to identify trends and business opportunities in order to drive data-influenced decisions and optimize results.
Identifying pain points and leading initiatives that move the needle for the business, and helping the team focus on the right things.
Optimize the efficiency and productivity of our go-to-market teams.

Required Skills And Experience

At least two years working in ad tech or digital advertising.
Proficiency with Slack, Gmail, Notion, Airtable, Tableau, and other tools;
Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally;
Ability to work individually (remote) and collaboratively to drive the business forward;
Comfortable taking ownership of projects and showcasing key accomplishments;
A growth mindset;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Ability to accept feedback and constructive critique positively;
Extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic;
