Job Description
The Manager of Sales Operations reports to the Director of Customer Analytics and plays a pivotal role in optimizing sales processes, driving market insights, and enabling the sales team to achieve their targets. This role will leverage advanced analytics skills—including Power BI (with a strong focus on Power Query), SQL, and data storytelling—to transform raw data into actionable insights that empower strategies and foster growth. The position partners with key leaders across Sales, Pricing, Marketing, and Finance to develop and implement customer strategies and dashboards that align with business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Sales Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, including transforming data using Power Query, to provide actionable insights to sales teams and leadership

Data Transformation: Use Power Query within Power BI to clean, transform, and structure raw data into usable formats for reporting and analysis

Data Storytelling: Analyze and present complex data sets through storytelling techniques, guiding strategic decision-making

Data Integration and Transformation: Transform raw data from JDE, Salesforce, and Dynamics 365 into consistent, actionable formats for market trend analysis

Sales Forecasting: Work closely with GM’s and sales leadership to develop accurate sales forecasts and pipeline analysis, enabling proactive planning and resource allocation

Sales Training and Enablement: Partner with sales leadership to design and deliver effective sales training programs that equip the sales team with the necessary tools to excel in their roles, including account and territory analysis and planning

Sales Incentive Programs: Design and manage sales incentive compensation plans, aligning them with business objectives to motivate and reward sales representatives effectively

Sales Process Optimization: Partner with sales leadership to analyze and enhance the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Sales Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with emerging sales technologies and tools, evaluating their potential impact on sales effectiveness and recommending their implementation where appropriate

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with pricing, marketing, and finance teams to align sales operations with overall business strategies

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales analytics, processes, data quality, and overall sales performance, implementing changes to drive growth and enhance customer experience
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, or a related field (MBA is a plus)

Proven experience in sales operations or a related role, with a track record of driving sales process improvements and achieving sales targets

Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including expertise in Power Query for data transformation and cleaning

Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets and communicate findings effectively

Strong understanding of processes of data collection, management, cleaning, organization, reporting, visualization, and analysis

Advanced SQL skills for querying and managing complex datasets

Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various teams and levels within the organization

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges and make informed decisions.

Knowledge of predictive analytics a plus
Preferred Technical Skills:

Power BI with strong proficiency in Power Query, visualization, and storytelling

Knowledge of CRM platforms like CRM Dynamics 365

The US base salary range for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 annually + 10% STIP (short term incentive plan) + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
