About the role:
The VP of Sales will build a sales playbook and ensure that the sales strategy and team are aligned with Kicksaw's overall goals. Reporting directly to the CEO/Co-Founder, the VP of Sales will drive revenue by strategically acquiring new mid-market and enterprise customers and expanding existing client relationships. This will be achieved through a combination of their own efforts and leading an effective sales team.

What the VP of Sales will do:
- Build a sales playbook: Develop and execute a sales strategy and process (i.e. a sales playbook) that accelerates growth and aligns with Kicksaw's mission and vision
- Build & lead the sales team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team while cultivating a culture of success, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Performance metrics & analysis: Manage a sales operations function that utilizes data and metrics to guide sales strategies and identify target segments, making informed decisions that drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Financial stewardship: Create and manage sales forecasts, quotas, and budgets, ensuring alignment with Kicksaw's financial goals and objectives in partnership with Operations and Finance
- Client success & retention: Establish strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention through strategic account management
- Collaboration across departments: Work closely with the Delivery, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure a cohesive strategy that maximizes sales opportunities and client outcomes
- Create a learning environment: Build out a sales enablement function that teaches the Sales and Delivery team how to sell a world-class experience
- Market & competitor analysis: Keep a pulse on market trends and competitor strategies to identify new opportunities and challenges
The right candidate will have:
- 8+ years in sales leadership within the Salesforce, tech enabled services, or consulting sectors
- Proven track record of achieving growth targets as an individual salesperson and leader
- Prior experience taking ownership of and scaling a CEO-led sales team from scratch in a startup environment
- Prior experience building a sales playbook and sales team at a consulting company (similar stage / size)
- Proven experience in building out sales operations and sales enablement, as well as utilizing data and metrics to ensure targets are met
- Direct experience with Salesforce products or services, including current (and healthy) relationships with Salesforce AEs and familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities
- Adept at navigating complex sales cycles and negotiating deals
- Exceptional ability to coach a sales team (inspire, develop, and lead)
- Strong focus on building a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Comfort with fast-paced environments and changing requirements
- Ability to pivot strategy in response to market trends or business needs
- Excellent project and time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
- A scrappy, can-do attitude with the willingness to roll up their sleeves and jump in
- Prior experience working with private equity
Additional details:
This full-time position is 100% remote (must be based in the United States or Canada) and includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, & vision), unlimited PTO (with a four-week minimum requested), 18 paid company holidays, 401(k) match / RRSP match, technology stipend, professional development, annual company retreats, eligibility to participate in Kicksaw's profit-sharing and employee liquidity programs, and so much more!
- For candidates based in the United States, this position includes an annual base salary range of $225,000 - $260,000 USD and would be eligible for additional commissions.
- For candidates based in Canada, this position includes an annual base salary range of $281,250 - $325,000 CAD and would be eligible for additional commissions.
- Final compensation offers are based on level of experience, skillset, certifications, and education.
