Job Summary
The Business Operations Analyst plays a vital role in optimizing transportation and supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and the overall performance of both operational and customer-facing processes within Skelton Canada Inc., with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for analyzing and improving logistical workflows, creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting contract negotiations (including RFPs and QBRs), and evaluating customer retention rates and performance metrics such as on-time delivery percentages. This is an on-site position based in Sharon, ON.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Analysis and Improvement
- Develop data-driven insights and provide actionable recommendations to drive growth, enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to optimize resources, fleet efficiency, and cost control.
- Develop and maintain best practices for freight management, route optimization, and energy savings.
KPI Development and Reporting
- Create and monitor KPIs for operational, financial, and customer metrics such as on-time delivery, customer retention, and fleet utilization.
- Build dashboards to provide real-time performance insights.
Contract and Pricing Management
- Review and negotiate contracts (RFPs, RFIs, QBRs), ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability.
- Use transportation data to develop lane pricing and provide logistical solutions to customers.
Customer Performance and Retention
- Create performance reporting to support company initiatives including maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring delivery of high-quality, secure and efficient transportation solutions
- Track and analyze customer retention trends, address performance gaps, and enhance client relationships.
- Coordinate customer QBRs and proactively resolve logistical issues.
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies based on data and market trends.
- Deliver reports highlighting opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and improved customer satisfaction
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Three or more years of experience in logistics or transportation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or experience with high value, high risk or temperature-controlled products.
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical supply chain is an asset.
- Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
- SQL experience preferred.
- Strong level of proficiency with Office Suite including Excel and Powerpoint.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
