Andrews Operations, which oversees the business operations of Andrews Refrigeration, Andrews Plumbing, Andrews Electrical, Andrews Concrete, and Andrews Construction is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team and drive financial growth and stability.
Position Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring effective financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. This position requires a proactive leader with strong financial acumen, experience in the construction or contracting industry, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a growing mechanical contracting business.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
• Advise the CEO and executive team on financial planning, risk management, and growth opportunities.
• Drive profitability through financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives.
Financial Operations and Reporting:
• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and project-based
financial performance.
- Prepare all debt reporting packages.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop short- and long-term financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Risk Management and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Oversea monthly sales tax reporting
• Oversee insurance, bonding, and licensing requirements for projects.
• Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor the accounting teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, banks, and insurance providers.
• Negotiate favorable terms with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
. Technology and Systems:
• Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to improve efficiency.
• Leverage technology to streamline financial operations and reporting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in construction or mechanical contracting.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing and inventory management and controls.
• Experience managing budgets, cash flow, and project-based financials.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in financial software
