What Will You Do?
As the Business Operations Manager, you will work on both high-level strategy and granular execution, making a direct impact on how the company scales. You will own and optimize the companys financial, operational, and people systems while supporting leadership in making key decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations Oversee invoicing, expenses, and financial processes (not bookkeeping/accounting).
Business Operations Manage insurance, vendor relationships, compliance, and general business processes.
Executive Operations Support hiring, people operations, OKRs, recruiting, and internal systems.
Process Improvement Design and implement scalable systems and automation to increase efficiency.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Lead hiring initiatives, interviews, and team growth efforts.
Project & Systems Management Own cross-functional projects and ensure operational excellence across teams.
What Will You Need?
5+ years of experience in an operational role at a VC-funded startup (Seed to Series B, <100 people).
Experience managing finances, business ops, and recruiting processes.
Highly organized with a strong ability to design and manage processes.
Excellent reasoning, analytical skills, and tech-savviness to configure tools and integrations.
Fast-paced and results-oriented able to make quick decisions and move initiatives forward.
Strong communication skills able to articulate complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
Detail-oriented with exceptionally high standards for execution.
Self-motivated and hardworking early-stage startup mindset, willing to work 50+ hours per week.
Experience automating processes and fluency with QuickBooks.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office role in Redwood City, CA.
