ASIC's Regulation & Supervision (R&S) Group is seeking an experienced Business Operations Analyst to join their Business Management Unit (BMU). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various R&S group activities.

The team
The R&SBMU directs and supports business management services for the R&S Group. Collaborating with R&S Senior Executives and Managers, the BMU ensures the delivery of integrated and timely central management services aligned with R&S and ASIC priorities.
The role
The Business Operations Analyst plays an important role in ensuring the efficient operation of R&S Group BMU by overseeing risk management, communications, project management, and compliance. This role involves leading risk management initiatives, directing control testing, maintaining the risk register, and preparing presentations for senior leaders. Additionally, the Analyst provides strategic advice on compliance and business continuity planning, ensuring the R&S Executive group meets ASIC-wide requirements.
More Specifically, You Will
- Drive R&S's risk management initiatives, including strengthening the group's risk maturity, directing control testing, maintaining and reporting on the risk register, and preparing presentations for senior leaders
- Managing and improving mechanisms for timely executive data provision, including business plan reporting
- Developing and implementing a robust project governance framework for the R&S group, and advising on project management best practices
- Coordinating R&S communication activities, contributing to the communication strategy, and creating communication products to effectively promote the R&S group to stakeholders
- Identifying areas for business process improvement and establishing clear standards, reporting, and monitoring across quality assurance, governance, and data reporting services
About You
The ideal candidate for the Business Operations Analyst position at ASIC is an experienced professional with a strong background in business operations (including process improvement), risk and project management. The candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively coordinate communication activities and contribute to the communication strategy.
In Addition, You Will Have
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Proven experience in managing risk, governance, or compliance activities in a corporate or government environment
- Demonstrated experience in project management or support roles, with knowledge of project management methodologies
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to manage internal communication activities and contribute to communication strategy and products
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, investigative, and research skills, including data analysis and presentation
- Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and providing recommendations to the Executive teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data reporting applications such as Power BI
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, being accountable for outcomes
