Seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial operations and strategies of a non profit organization in LA. This role will be responsible for managing the accounting function, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and contributing to the long-term financial health and growth of the company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nonprofit accounting, financial management, and leadership, with a demonstrated ability to drive organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage accounting functions across the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial allocations.ht.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's strategic plan by evaluating financial trends, identifying key performance indicators, and resolving operational challenges.
- Analyze economic trends and revenue opportunities to drive financial growth, cost reduction, and operational improvements.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the C-Suite and board of directors.
- Work closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities for financial growth and budgeting to support the organization's goals.
- Contribute to the preparation of feasibility studies and strategic plans in partnership with the leadership team.
- Write the annual financial report for stakeholders, investors, and external reviewers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Supervise, coach, and manage the finance team, providing performance reviews, training, and professional development support.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree required; CPA or CMA certification (+)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (preferably as a CFO).
- Experience in nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and familiarity with GAAP, the Uniform Administrative Requirements, and federal audit requirements.
- Expertise in Sage Intacct, ensuring maximum efficiency of the software to support the organization's financial needs.
- Previous experience in healthcare management, claims, and billing (+)

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Asana and Salesforce is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with discretion and accountability.
- Willingness to travel locally as needed.
