The Role
We are looking for Sales Operations Analyst to innovate, win and grow with us! As a member of the Sales Operations and Enablement team, you will fill a critical role by leveraging data and analysis to drive business decisions and results across the revenue organization. This role combines a blend of technical expertise with a proven track-record of data analysis to develop critical reports, dashboards, and presentations to influence sales effectiveness and drive strategic decisions to drive growth at Bottomline. This position requires a strong blend of technical, problem solving, communication, and data presentation skills, along with an understanding of and experience with the sales process methodology and data. A successful candidate will capture, validate, manage, organize, and analyze sales data to support sales teams, programs, and go-to-market strategies.
This role is hybrid, and must be local to our Portsmouth office
How you’ll contribute
- Support the sales organization and sales operations team as a subject-matter-expert through reporting and analysis of the sales pipeline KPI reporting to help manage the business and provide visibility to key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed win-rate reporting and implement within the sales teams and cadences.
- Develop measurement frameworks for the end-to-end customer engagement (sales) process from opportunity to close (OTC).
- Develop and maintain measurement instruments (e.g., reports, dashboards) to monitor performance metrics and drive sales management engagement.
- Work closely with sales operations, finance, and enterprise business solutions team members to build and enhance sales reporting infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain data quality within the sales databases, implement ongoing data cleansing/checking procedures.
- Export, transform, and manage advanced data segments; apply technical knowledge to shape data and analytics projects that provide business impact.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
- 2+ years of analytical experience in sales operations, finance, or business analysis.
- Superior skills in Microsoft Excel (including PowerPivot and advanced lookup functions), PowerBI (or similar visualization tools), and PowerPoint.
- Ability to query databases; prefer knowledge of SQL.
- Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Python experience is a bonus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn requirements into written specifications.
- Data-driven and a high-level of attention to detail is essential; must be metrics-driven and results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills and organization.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, and collaboratively within a cross-functional team and in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with data modeling, technical data management, and reporting architecture.
