Valon Insurance is a new venture within Valon. Its primary objective is to create new revenue streams for Valon by cross-selling consumer insurance products, developing Valon's own insurance offerings, and improving the overall customer insurance experience. Insurance is a critical component in every customer's homeownership journey and we endeavor to build an insurance ecosystem that enables every Valon homeowner to access quality insurance products at affordable rates. As a member of the Valon Insurance team, you will be directly involved in helping build, launch, and scale this new vertical.
We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented BizOps Senior Associate to own growth marketing for our Insurance vertical. You'll be tasked with building and running experiments to drive up conversion in our existing sales funnel. The right candidate can both prioritize for the business strategically and roll up their sleeves to get into the weeds. This role requires someone who can forge their own path without clear guidance, tackle complex problems, own processes end to end, and work cross-functionally.
- Take full ownership of improving the insurance marketing funnel to drive business growth
- Develop growth and messaging strategies through quick iteration and hypothesis-driven tests across target populations, copy, and design to optimize conversion and drive growth.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of our homeowner base to make strategic decisions around targeting and messaging for insurance marketing and growth opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with Analytics and BizOps to design and run marketing experiments and test homeowner incentives
- Understand compliance requirements and work with legal to ensure product offerings and messaging follows the directions of a highly regulated industry
- Ensure that processes scale gracefully as the company scales
- Drive process and product maturity through collaboration with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to enhance operational efficiency, elevate marketing personalization, and improve the homeowner experience.
- 3+ years experience working in product management, growth analytics, strategic operations, or business operations roles, preferably at a start-up
- Prior experience running growth marketing initiatives in highly regulated industries
- Ability to operate independently and truly own business results for their area
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive complex and ambiguous projects to completion
- Strong project management skills with an ability to prioritize, communicate progress, and deliver results across multiple workstreams
- High sense of urgency and bias for action
- Extremely self-motivated and results-oriented — is organized, proactive in finding solutions, and has a strong drive to complete projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization
- Compensation: Competitive salary of $119,000-$161,000 with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and 401k plan
