Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Residential Construction Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's growth. Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting cash flow needs and optimizing liquidity.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor governmental accounting practices and ensure adherence to applicable standards.
- Stay updated on () and implement necessary changes in reporting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, including financial report writing and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cash management processes and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Understanding of governmental accounting standards is a plus.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
